Kraft paper bags are widely used in food, chemical, retail and other industries due to their environmental protection, durability and recyclability. However, if stored improperly, the paper bags may become damp, deformed or lose strength, affecting the use effect. Mastering the correct storage method can not only extend the service life of kraft paper bags, but also ensure their stability during transportation and packaging.

Maintain a dry environment

The main raw material of kraft paper bags is natural fiber, which has strong hygroscopicity. A humid environment can easily cause the paper bags to soften, reduce strength, and even mold. Therefore, the first condition for storing kraft paper bags is to keep the environment dry. It is recommended to store paper bags in a well-ventilated warehouse or on shelves to avoid direct contact with the ground or walls to reduce moisture penetration. If the ambient humidity is high, consider using dehumidification equipment or placing desiccant to ensure that the relative humidity is controlled between 50%-60%.

Avoid direct sunlight and high temperature

The fiber structure of kraft paper bags may be damaged if exposed to direct sunlight or high temperature for a long time, causing them to become brittle or faded. Therefore, when storing, choose a cool, dark area and avoid heat sources or vents. The ideal storage temperature should be controlled between 15℃-25℃ to maintain the stability of the physical properties of the paper bag.

Stacking method and load-bearing control

The stacking method of kraft paper bags directly affects their compressive properties. If the stacking is too high or the force is uneven, the bottom paper bag may be deformed or broken. It is recommended to use the "pyramid" stacking method, that is, the number of paper bags in each layer is reduced layer by layer to ensure uniform force. At the same time, avoid stacking heavy objects on the paper bags, especially sharp or hard objects, so as not to pierce or crush the paper bags.

Regular inspection and maintenance

Even if the storage conditions are good, the status of the kraft paper bags should be checked regularly, and dust or foreign objects should be cleaned in time to prevent long-term backlogs from causing mildew or insect pests. If the paper bag is found to be damp or slightly deformed, it can be transferred to a dry environment for drying, but it should be avoided from exposure to the sun.

Scientific storage methods can significantly increase the service life of kraft paper bags and ensure that they perform at their best during packaging and transportation. If foreign trade enterprises can strictly follow the above suggestions, they can not only reduce loss costs, but also improve customer satisfaction and enhance market competitiveness.
