Against the backdrop of the global packaging industry accelerating its transformation towards sustainability, kraft paper bags are becoming a popular packaging solution in the foreign trade sector with their unique performance advantages. This packaging product made from natural fibers not only carries the concept of environmental protection, but also meets the multiple needs of modern business in terms of functionality.

From the perspective of material properties, the core competitiveness of kraft paper bags lies in their high strength and durability. Wood pulp fibers treated by the sulfate process give the paper excellent tear resistance, which can maintain structural stability even when loaded with heavy objects. Experimental data show that the load-bearing capacity of standard kraft paper bags can reach more than 1.5 times that of similar plastic packaging, and is particularly suitable for the export and transportation of bulk commodities such as coffee beans and grains. This feature makes it the first choice for foreign trade in the food, chemical and other industries.

Environmental attributes are a key factor driving the growth in demand for kraft paper bags. Compared with traditional plastic bags, which take an average of 400 years to degrade, kraft paper bags can be completely decomposed in just 6-12 months under industrial composting conditions. More notably, the carbon emissions during its production process are about 30% lower than those of polyethylene packaging, which is highly consistent with the requirement of "recyclability of not less than 90%" proposed in the latest EU "Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation" (PPWR). Many international buyers have explicitly included kraft paper bags in their ESG procurement standard system.

Technological innovation is opening up new application scenarios for kraft paper bags. Through lamination, coating and other process treatments, modern kraft paper bags have moisture-proof and oil-proof functions, and can even achieve a three-dimensional brand display effect through special printing. Some high-end products use water-based ink printing technology, which controls VOCs emissions below 0.5 grams per square meter while ensuring visual effects, which fully complies with international environmental printing standards.

As the global retail industry continues to pay more attention to low-carbon supply chains, kraft paper bags are upgrading from a single transport packaging to a brand value carrier. This packaging form that combines practical functions with environmental protection concepts is writing a new chapter in the field of foreign trade packaging.
